Robert P. Marcus

Mr. Marcus represents injured workers and individuals in the areas of F.E.L.A., personal injury, medical malpractice and products liability.

Mr. Marcus is licensed to practice in Illinois; Missouri; Tennessee; U.S. District Court, Southern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Eastern District of Missouri, Southern District of Indiana, Western District of Tennessee and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is a Certified Arbitrator for the Third Judicial Circuit, Madison County, IL and the Twentieth Judicial Circuit, St. Clair County, IL. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, St. Clair County Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association, Missouri Association of Trial attorneys, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys. He has been appointed to serve as a member of the Hearing Board for the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.

Mr. Marcus received his B.S. from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and attended Southern Illinois University Law School in Carbondale, Illinois, where he participated in Moot Court and was a published member of S.I.U.'s Law Journal.

Representative Cases

$4.8 Million Dollar Confidential Settlement for Personal Injury And Wrongful Death in Tennessee Motor Vehicle Collision.

McBride v. CSX Transportation - The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the $275,000 verdict; the use of an "in whole or in part" jury instruction; and rejected the Defendant's position that a proximate cause instruction is applicable in FELA cases.
